CPA James Resa is a Certified Public Accountant, public sector audit leader, governance professional, and strategic oversight expert with over fifteen years of experience in internal audit, financial management, risk management, compliance, governance, and public accountability.

He currently serves as Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Vihiga Water and Sanitation Company, where he provides strategic leadership and oversight focused on good governance, institutional performance, accountability, risk management, financial sustainability, and quality service delivery.

His contributions to public accountability extend beyond his professional roles, contributing to oversight of governance, risk management, internal controls, and accountability in the public sector. He serves on the Audit Committee of the Office of the Controller of Budget, the Executive Committee of ICPAK (Western Branch), IIA (K), KLIF/EACC, among many other organisations.

He holds a Master of Science in Finance and is pursuing a PhD in Finance at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He is a member of ICPAK and the Institute of Internal Auditors–Kenya in good standing.
